COMFORTABLE LIFE IS A MYTH

I want to live a comfortable luxurious life! Great!

What I don't realize is that it's a myth. It's never going to happen!

Why?

In order to live such life, I will need a lot of money and I will have to slog to earn that kind of money. To be comfortable, I have to be uncomfortable, though I may enjoy the process.

I want my car to pick me up in the lobby & drop at the nearest point at the office.
In the evening, I will have to run on the trade Mill at the Gym.

I want washing machine, vacuum cleaner to do my tasks supported by AI.
I will develop disease and the doctor will advise me to go through Physio therapy, which included all those activities, which I saved myself from.

Most of us do more of mental work than physical and land up in the queue outside the doctor's clinic.

There is no alternate to physical exertion. Do it by choice or out of compulsion. The choice is yours!

 *TIPS FOR TRAINERS*

I don't find worth in spending too much time on explaining the importance of the topic to the Learners. Many Trainers do so at the beginning of the session. Earlier, even I used to do so.

They are already here, by choice or by compulsion. So you don't need to oversell.

Rather, find out the pain areas, encourage discussion, narrow down the solution and take the feedback.

This engagement will be much more fruitful.

 TRAINING TIPS

The HR Manager of XYZ Ltd. invited me for an evaluation meeting.

Well dressed, I arrived!

As expected he told me to tell him about me… and I started off!

And I started talking!

What a blunder!

I know what you are thinking. He wanted me to talk about myself, introduce myself, talk about my success stories and that’s what I did. What’s wrong in that?

Really? Was the person truly wanted me to talk about me.

No way!

They wanted me to ask questions. They wanted me to know them. They wanted me to empathise with them and their problems.

What they really wanted to know was that am I capable of solving the problems faced by them and here I was proudly talking about me, in which they had no interest.

Be honest, even you must have done that, sometimes?

So what I should have done?

Introduce as briefly as elegantly possible and then ask questions and questions and questions.

Not to the level of irritating them, but to understand the issues, to check if you have a solution, to make them feel that you understand.

Your ability to understand their problems and provide solution is what they want or check.

Just do that and nothing else!
